Early in 1991, my girlfriend introduced me to her older brother, Mike, and I was instantly aware of the need for the world at large to experience the innate genius that flowed effortlessly from this extraordinary thinker and would be comedian. Though he never would have considered such a thing, I immediately embarked on the task of recording as much material as possible in the hopes of making Brother Mike a star.







Initially, our focus was on producing short, comedic videos ranging from stand up comedy to conceptual pieces to man on the street interviews. At the same time, being inspired by the exploding popularity of prank phone call tapes in the early 90's starting with the famous "Tube Bar" recordings, we managed to fill up several shoe boxes worth of cassettes featuring some of the most bizarre pranks imaginable.







Though true commercial success remains out of his reach, Brother Mike has generated a small but loyal following amongst college radio hosts who have helped to bring some exposure to his work. Catering to the most sophisticated collectors of odd entertainment, Brother Mike is recognized today as being a star in his own right.
